This sprint showed me the real magic: start with real people and their emotions, then build solutions that connect, not just function... 🤯

What you'll learn

Problem Framing
Before: A founder hands you a messy brief and you’re unsure where to start.
After: You can break down ambiguous problems, define clear goals, and turn chaos into a structured path forward.
Product & Business Thinking
Before: You design polished screens… but struggle to justify why they solve the business need.
After: You connect design decisions to product outcomes, tradeoffs, and metrics, the way high-level product teams expect.
User Understanding
Before: You rely on assumptions or generic personas and hope it’s “close enough.”
After: You use rapid research and AI-powered insights to understand user needs, behaviors, and context so you can design with clarity.
Opportunity Mapping
Before: You see user problems, but the path forward still feels overwhelming or ambiguous.
After: You can evaluate the landscape, map real user context, and identify high-impact opportunities that guide a focused, strategic solution.
Rapid Prototyping with AI
Before: It takes days to turn ideas into something testable.
After: You prototype confidently and quickly using modern AI tools, exploring more ideas in less time.
Scrappy User Testing
Before: You wait for “proper” user research and miss critical feedback.
After: You validate ideas fast with lightweight testing methods so you can refine direction early and avoid costly misalignment.
Designing Like a Builder
Before: You could design the screens, but shipping stopped at prototypes and technical workflows felt out of reach.
After: You design, build, and ship. You move from screens to working product by pushing code, deploying real features, and understanding the constraints that come with production. (No coding knowledge required)
Presenting Outcomes
Before: You finish the design… but presenting it feels stressful and unclear.
After: You walk stakeholders through your solution with confidence, logic, and clear product rationale, the way modern product teams expect.

Week 0

Get settled in.

Before the sprint starts, you'll get access to the Discord community. You can start meeting your fellow designers, asking questions, and getting amped up! We'll open dedicated channels so everything feels organized from day 1.

Week 1

Frame and explore.

On day 1 you get full access to the Accelerator Hub. This is where all your modules, resources, teammates info, and FAQs live. Module 1 unlocks the kickoff call with our startup partner. You'll see the real problem we'll be tackling and get the brief doc. You manage your own time. For week 1, we recommend completing Modules 1-4 so we can guide you and keep the pace strong.

💬 Mid-week async feedback
💬 Virtual Community hangouts
Week 2

Refine, Build & Showcase.

This week is about turning your work into something real. You’ll move beyond prototypes and ship a live product, deploying a working experience rather than stopping at screens or demos. You’ll use AI tools to accelerate building and iteration, set up your project for clean delivery, and make the kinds of decisions real product teams face when shipping. You’ll finish by recording a clear Loom walkthrough that explains what you built, how it works, and why you made the choices you did. By the end of Week 2, your project will be live, usable, and publicly accessible, just like real product work.

View Modules
End

Fireside chat & showcase.

Join the partner founder for a live session where the top sprint projects are revealed and discussed. You'll get to ask questions about the industry, how they approach design hiring, etc.

In collaboration with real AI startups

Each sprint is co-led with a partner AI startup, giving designers hands-on experience solving real product challenges alongside founders, PMs, and engineers building next-generation tools.

Who it's for

Who it's for

Who it's for

Who it's for

Designers who want more than theory.

Those who want real product experience, real mentorship, and real work they can confidently show in interviews.

Designers who know UX basics but lack real product experience.
You’ve learned the principles, now you want to apply them to a real product with real constraints.
Mid-level designers who want practice running fast, focused product sprints.
You want to sharpen your speed, product decision-making, and execution.
Career starters with one or two case studies that don’t feel strong enough.
You want a project you can confidently show in interviews because it reflects actual product work.
People transitioning into product design who already understand the fundamentals.
You understand UX theory but need hands-on experience to prove you can do the job.

"This sprint reminded me how much I love what I do — and how powerful design can be when it connects to real human needs 💜.
✨ Just wrapped up the Yummy Labs & Design Studio Product Design Accelerator Sprint ✨ Two super intense (and honestly, amazing) weeks designing alongside a startup that’s rethinking how people find a home — making the process more human, emotional, and real. The program (led with the ex-CPO of Tinder 👀) really pushed me to think beyond pixels — to design with empathy, trust, and purpose. It reminded me that design is not just about building features, but about creating meaning."

As a Frontend Developer, I've always focused on building interfaces that work, functionality and clean code. This sprint showed me the real magic: start with real people and their emotions, then build solutions that connect, not just function. 🤯 That's the power of UX/UI. Turns out, when you find the right user flow, you find YOUR flow too. 💥

"I’m not usually a “course” person. I prefer to dive in and learn by doing. But this was different.
Yummy Labs didn’t tell us what to design; they taught us how to think like product designers and get something into users’ hands quickly for feedback. Over two weeks we defined user pain points, built lightweight personas, mapped messy journeys, and turned ideas into a working MVP for a stealth AI startup founded by Mark V. (former CPO at Tinder). My sleep schedule’s wrecked, but my process is sharper and my design thinking’s leveled up."

Previous Sprint

We partner with startups founded by industry giants.

Our last sprint designers teamed up with the ex-CPO of Tinder, & ex-Meta product designer to solve a real problem: helping millennials discover the right neighborhood before choosing a home.

Need more time to think it through? Ask your friends if they know us? Wait until we get Lovable?

Then by all means. Here's another waitlist box.

Your sprint badge proves you’ve done real product work, not just watched lessons.

You’ll earn a Yummy Labs Badge that signals you’ve shipped real features inside a real startup challenge. It’s proof of hands-on experience, not passive learning. Hiring managers see the difference.

Questions are normal when you’re trying something different.

This is where we get uncensored. Go on… take a peek.
